WESTERN ASIA MINOR, Uncertain. Circa 145-140 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 15.37 g, 12 h), stephanophoric type. Head of Demeter to right, wearing wreath of grain ears and triple pendant earring. Rev. ΘEΩN - KABEIPΩN / ΣYPIΩN Two Kabeiroi standing facing, nude except for cloaks hanging from shoulders, each with head surmounted by star and holding scepter; to lower right, monogram; all within laurel wreath. HGC 6, 709 ('Syros'). Nicolet-Pierre & Amandry pl. 2, 13–8 var. (unlisted dies; 'Syros'). Winterthur 2319 ('Syros'). Very rare. Porous and with light marks and cleaning scratches, otherwise, nearly very fine.
